About Nox Curiosities

Nox Curiosities was inspired by my late Aunt Bonnie, whose lifelong passion for the natural world sparked my own.

She had an incredible passion for the natural world. She shared that passion through educational lectures, transformed her yard into a thriving garden, and spent years pinning and framing specimens from around the world. Her collection grew into hundreds of beautifully preserved pieces. Today, several of those original displays hang in my own home as a daily reminder of the curiosity and appreciation for nature that she inspired in me.

After she passed, I found a monarch butterfly that had naturally reached the end of its life while I was at work. Instead of letting it be forgotten, I decided to try pinning and preserving it myself. That single butterfly became the beginning of Nox Curiosities.

Every piece I create is carefully handcrafted with the same sense of wonder that first drew me to this art. My goal is to preserve the extraordinary beauty of nature and encourage others to see insects not as something to fear, but as remarkable works of art and an essential part of our world.

All specimens are ethically sourced through trusted aviaries, butterfly conservatories, insect farms, and reputable breeders. No insects are collected from the wild solely for the purpose of creating my artwork. Many of my suppliers contribute to conservation initiatives, sustainable breeding programs, and habitat preservation, allowing these species to be appreciated while supporting their future.
